How do I know?

Q:  How do I know if I need hearing aids?

A: To re-phrase your question, “How will you know if hearing aids can help you?”  To know for certain, you need to wear them.

Before you wear them, you need to have your ears checked for injury or a blockage from wax.  Once your ears are healthy and clear, you need to have a thorough hearing exam.   After your hearing has been measured and assessed, you need an insightful consultation about the type of system that is best for you and your needs.  Following the consultation, you should be able to listen to a personalized hearing system in order to hear for yourself how much better you can hear with them.

Listening to a digital hearing system in a quiet Hearing Center is not the same as wearing them during your normal day-to-day activities.  That’s why the next step should be to wear the hearing aids during a trial period for up to 4 to 6 weeks.  At the Better Hearing Center, we follow these steps with our new patients.
