Q: I have heard hearing aids are hard to keep working – are they?
A: It’s easy to keep hearing aids working. Using good batteries and changing them when necessary is simple and straightforward.
The wide majority of ‘problems’ our patients call us about are ear wax related. Ear wax is created in the ear canal, where the hearing aid fits. Keep your ears clean in a safe manner using cotton swabs, tissues, wax drops, etc. This will reduce the likelihood that ear wax will fill up the sound tip of your hearing aid. The Better Hearing Center cleans all hearing aid models and removes ear wax.
Many top hearing aids come with a 2 or 3 year ‘No Charge’ repair warranty when shipment to the manufacturer is required. In these cases, the Better Hearing Center programs loaners for patients to use.
At the Better Hearing Center, patients can listen to these advanced hearing aid systems during their appointments. Call us at 282-4327 to arrange a complimentary ear check-up, hearing test, and hearing aid demonstration. We work hard to make hearing easy.
