Bluetooth Equipment Training
Today’s hearing aid systems are very sophisticated in their own right. For access to even more features and options, the newest hearing aid systems connect wirelessly to TVs, tablets, laptops, cell phones and many other Bluetooth related audio systems through a Bluetooth remote and Bluetooth accessories.
When our patients decide to use the Bluetooth accessories which work in concert with their Bluetooth hearing aids, we conduct a full one-hour training appointment to ensure our patient is familiar and confident using their Bluetooth remote and all the accessory equipment they choose to use with it.
When hearing loss is affecting your life, it is typically affecting what you watch and listen to on various screens and media devices (TV, tablets, laptops, phones, MP3 players, iPads, iPods, etc.). A wireless Bluetooth connection allows you to hear the audio signals from all of these devices in both ears at once through your Bluetooth hearing aids. This makes the audio signal much clearer since it is correcting for your hearing loss.
Over the next 5 years, I believe just as many beneficial advances will be made for hearing aids through use of Bluetooth technology as will be made with refinements in hearing aid processors and programming.
